Stonewater is seeking a compassionate Support Worker in Swindon to help residents unlock their potential and live with dignity. You will deliver person-centred support, manage referrals and assessments, and work closely with residents to set goals and build confidence.

Were on the lookout for a compassionate, proactive, and energetic Support Worker to join our team and deliver person:centred, strengths:based support to our residents. This is more than just a job : its a chance to be a catalyst for change in someones life.

As a Support Worker , youll play a vital role in helping our residents take meaningful steps toward independence. Youll work closely with individuals to understand their goals, strengths, and aspirations:supporting them to build confidence and move forward with purpose. Whether its helping someone navigate a challenging moment or celebrating a personal milestone, your support will make a lasting impact.

Youll manage a caseload of residents, guiding them through referrals, interviews, and assessments with empathy and professionalism. Once they join the service, youll be their key point of contact:welcoming them, building trust, and delivering tailored support through both one:to:one and group sessions. Every interaction will be focused on outcomes, empowerment, and helping people realise their full potential.

What youll bring

  • Confidence in working collaboratively with specialist agencies like mental health teams and youth services.
  • A natural ability to build trust, motivate others, and foster meaningful relationships.
  • Strong communication skills : you know how to adapt your approach to suit different people and situations.
  • Integrity and professionalism, with a clear understanding of boundaries and safeguarding.

Appointment to this role will be subject to a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service Check (if applicable), satisfactory references and possession of a valid Right to Work document.

This role may require specific qualifications, skills, knowledge, and behaviours to meet the Competence and Conduct Standard for Social Housing. If not already qualified, there may be an expectation to study towards a professional qualification.
