Job summary

Rethink Mental Illness in Yeovil is looking for a Housing Support Worker to join Rainbow Court. You will deliver person-centred, housing-related support to adults with mental health challenges, helping them maintain tenancy and build independence.

Working closely with the Service Manager, you’ll assess needs, develop safety plans, and connect residents with relevant services to support their recovery goals. Flexible working is available.

Qualifications

• Experience in providing support to adults with mental health challenges in a housing context preferred.
• Excellent listening and communication skills with a patient, compassionate approach.
• Ability to work to professional boundaries and follow safeguarding procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred, housing-related support to residents.
• Act as key worker for a small caseload to build independence.
• Complete needs assessments and create support and safety plans.
• Liaise with mental health teams and community agencies to coordinate support.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to service improvements.
