Job summary

CIH International Housing Group is seeking a Housing Support Worker to help people maintain homes, overcome barriers and progress toward independent living. In our Beacon / Somewhere Safe to Live Team, you’ll build trusted relationships, connect clients with specialist support and empower them to take positive steps.

You’ll support tenancy moves, budgeting, appointments and building confidence, working with colleagues, landlords and partner agencies.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting individuals through challenging situations and promoting positive engagement.
  • Ability to apply risk management practices in line with policies.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building with partners.

Responsibilities

  • Help people maintain their homes and overcome barriers to independent living.
  • Assist with tenancy moves and connecting clients to specialist support.
  • Support budgeting, appointments and developing confidence to live independently.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, landlords and partner agencies to ensure clients receive needed support.

As a Housing Support Worker, within our Beacon / Somewhere Safe to Live Team, you'll play a vital part in helping people maintain their homes, overcome barriers and build brighter futures. From helping someone settle into a new tenancy to connecting them with specialist support, your work will have a real and lasting impact.

No two days are ever the same. One day you might be supporting someone to move into their new home, while the next, you're helping them manage their finances, attend appointments or develop the confidence to live independently. You'll work alongside colleagues, landlords and partner agencies to ensure people receive the support they need to thrive.

Who we're looking for:
  • Experience supporting individuals through challenging situations, encouraging positive engagement and providing effective support during difficult times.
  • Ability to apply and promote risk management practices in line with organisational policies and procedures.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with a range of internal and external partners.
  • A valid UK driving licence (or one permitting driving in the UK) and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
