Job description

Job Description

Closing Date: 18th September 2026

Contract Type: Supply, Temporary

Salary: £19.10 per hour

Hours: 0 per week

Location: Brucefield Resource Centre

We are looking for a compassionate, committed and values driven housing support worker to join our team within Stirling's Housing Support Team. The role supports young adults to develop the skills, confidence and relationships needed to live independently and build positive futures.

Our approach is strongly informed by The Promise Scotland, and its commitment to ensuring that young people grow up loved, safe and respected, with their voice heard and their rights upheld. The role is about much more than housing, it is about relationships, belongings, opportunity and hope.

As a housing Support Worker, you will work alongside young adults in a way that is person centred, trauma informed, strengths based and relationship focused. You will support young adults to develop practical independent living skills while providing consistent emotional support and encouragement. You will listen to what matters to each young person, recognise their strengths and aspirations, and support them to have as much choice and control over their lives as possible.

Applicants should be willing to work across the shift pattern, which include day shift, twilight and night shift. Ideally, you will have achieved an SVQ 3 Social Services at SCQF level 7 plus HNC Social Services (or an award of certificated knowledge with 96 credits at or above SCQF level 7) or other relevant qualification to enable registration with the SSSC as a Housing Support Worker.

Full UK driving licence required. Applicants must be registered with the SSSC at appointment. In return, you will be provided with regular supervision and training opportunities to enhance your existing skills.

This post is subject to membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme in respect of regulated work with children and young adults.

The successful candidate will be required to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme (PVG) for Children and Adults. If your application is progressed after the interview, you will be asked to complete the form and have your details verified.

We encourage applications from the right candidates regardless of age (restrictions apply to Modern Apprenticeships), disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, belief or race.
