Job summary

Stonewater is seeking a Tenancy Support Caseworker to cover the South East, including Oxford. You will provide tailored support, budget guidance and welfare-benefits assistance to tenants, with regular home visits and proactive case management.

Ideal candidates have experience in housing or support services, strong communication skills and the ability to work with diverse, vulnerable customers. A full driving licence and a commitment to safeguarding are desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer-focused housing or support service.
• Knowledge of welfare benefits and tenancy sustainment.
• Ability to manage sensitive cases with empathy and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored support and advice to customers with regular engagements and home visits.
• Assess needs and develop outcome-focused, person-centred support plans.
• Deliver budgeting, income maximisation, debt management and arrears prevention assistance.
• Assist with welfare benefits including Universal Credit and grant applications where appropriate.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to prevent tenancy failure and homelessness.
• Identify safeguarding risks and make appropriate referrals as needed.
• Attend multi-agency meetings to support positive customer outcomes.
• Maintain accurate case records and ensure referrals and follow-ups.
• Build local partnerships and highlight gaps in services within your locality.
