Job summary

Boston Borough Council is seeking a passionate Housing Standards Officer to help shape housing quality across the Borough. You will protect residents, improve conditions, and ensure landlords meet responsibilities within the private rented sector.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Conduct risk-based property inspections under HHSRS.
• Investigate and regulate HMOs with landlords and managing agents.
• Process HMO licence applications.
• Perform Immigration and Homes for Ukraine accommodation inspections.
• Bring empty properties back into use across the Borough.
• Gather evidence and prepare documentation to support enforcement action.
• Prepare professional evidence bundles for court proceedings and legal action.
