Boston Borough Council is seeking a proactive Housing Standards Officer to improve housing conditions and protect residents in the Borough. The role involves inspections, licensing, and enforcement to ensure landlords meet private rented sector responsibilities. BPSS and Basic Disclosure checks are likely requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience working within housing or a related field.

Responsabilités

• Conduct risk-based property inspections and identify housing hazards per HHSRS.
• Regulate HMOs, working with landlords and managing agents to achieve compliance.
• Process HMO licence applications.
• Undertake immigration and Ukraine accommodation inspections.
• Bring empty properties back into use within the Borough.
• Compile evidence and documents to support enforcement actions and court proceedings.
