Job summary

Waythrough is hiring a Housing Stability Worker to provide flexible, person-centred floating support. You’ll help individuals sustain tenancies, prevent homelessness, and improve wellbeing across outreach settings in the community.

Role requires NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, safeguarding training, and experience with complex needs. Driving licence is essential to travel between locations and partner services.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification in health and social care, housing, substance misuse, counselling or related field.
• Trained in safeguarding, trauma-informed practice, motivational interviewing or related approaches.
• Experience of supporting people to sustain accommodation or prevent homelessness.
• Experience and knowledge of harm reduction approaches in relation to drug and alcohol use.
• Experience of managing complex needs and using case management systems.
• Ability to develop support plans and manage caseloads.

Responsibilities

• Provide flexible, person-centred floating support to sustain tenancies and improve wellbeing.
• Work with landlords, housing providers and authorities to prevent eviction.
• Assist with rent payments, arrears management and accessing benefits.
• Collaborate with drug/alcohol services to support recovery goals.
• Develop and review support plans focused on housing stability.
• Deliver tailored interventions and promote independence.
• Maintain accurate case records and monitor outcomes.
