Birmingham City Council is seeking an Accommodation Finding Officer to source and secure housing solutions in the private rented sector and with partner organisations. You will identify properties around Birmingham, build landlord relationships, and negotiate tenancy solutions for homeless households, while ensuring standards and legislation are met.

• Experience in sales, marketing, property or business development.
• Knowledge of the private rented sector.
• Experience building relationships with landlords, customers and external stakeholders.
• Excellent negotiation and influencing skills.
• Proven track record of meeting and exceeding targets.
• Knowledge of property standards and housing-related legislation.
• Strong communication, organisational and customer service skills.
• Full driving licence and willingness to travel across Birmingham.

Responsabilidades

• Identify and procure suitable properties in and around Birmingham.
• Build and maintain relationships with landlords, housing providers and key stakeholders.
• Negotiate tenancy arrangements and housing solutions for homeless households.
• Assess property suitability and ensure accommodation meets required standards and legislation.
• Support tenancy set-up processes, including agreements, inventories and incentive schemes.
• Research market opportunities and identify new housing supply options.
• Monitor property portfolios and maintain accurate property information systems.
• Support service improvement projects, performance monitoring and reporting activities.
