Blackpool Coastal Housing is recruiting two Housing Services Team Leaders to oversee Lettings and Rents teams. You will drive a high-quality, customer-focused housing management service, monitor performance, and lead staff through reviews and training.
Collaboration with BCH, Council departments and partners is essential to deliver seamless services, comply with legislation, and achieve positive outcomes for tenants.
Blackpool Coastal Housing manages almost 5,000 social housing properties across Blackpool, on behalf of Blackpool Council, providing related services to its tenant and leasehold customers and regenerating areas to create opportunities for our local residents to thrive.
At BCH, we are committed to delivering excellent housing services and outstanding customer experiences for our tenants and communities. We are looking for two experienced and motivated Team Leaders to support the delivery of a high-quality, customer-focused housing management service.
We have two vacancies, one within our busy Lettings Team and one within our Rents Team. As Housing Services Team Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of the team, ensuring the delivery of an efficient, responsive, and customer-focused housing management service. You will provide effective leadership, support, and guidance to staff, creating a positive working environment and promoting a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and excellent customer service.
Working closely with the Housing Services Manager, you will play a key role in the development and improvement of the service, supporting the delivery of strategic objectives and ensuring that performance targets and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are consistently achieved. You will monitor team performance, analyse service information, and produce reports, identifying opportunities to improve processes and enhance the customer experience.
You will be responsible for supervising, developing, and supporting staff through regular one-to-one meetings, performance reviews and training opportunities, ensuring the team has the skills and knowledge required to deliver a high-quality service. You will also ensure compliance with housing legislation, organisational policies, and procedures, maintaining high standards of service delivery and governance.
The role involves working collaboratively with colleagues across BCH, Council departments, and external partner agencies to deliver seamless services for tenants and applicants. You will also take a lead role in responding to complex enquiries, complaints, and elected member enquiries, demonstrating sound judgement, professionalism, and a commitment to achieving positive outcomes for customers.
This is an excellent opportunity for two experienced housing professionals with strong leadership skills, a passion for customer service and the ability to drive performance, develop people and contribute to the ongoing success of the Lettings and Rents Services.
Experience working within housing services, local authority or housing association environments is desirable but not essential.
A supervisory or management qualification and a qualification in social care or housing would be beneficial.
Please note that any offer of employment will be subject to satisfactory clearance from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
If you have a strong customer focus and want to be part of an ambitious, growing organisation, we will support you in developing your skills and achieving your personal goals.
