Do you enjoy turning plans into successful housing projects?

From designing improvements to existing homes and managing refurbishment programmes, to delivering conversion and new-build schemes, this is an exciting opportunity to help shape and improve housing across the New Forest.

As our Housing Project Manager, you'll lead a diverse range of housing projects from initial design and procurement through to construction and completion. Whether you're modernising existing council homes or supporting the delivery of new housing opportunities, you'll play a key role in making a lasting difference for our communities.

About you

We're looking for someone who combines strong project management skills with technical construction knowledge, enjoys solving problems and takes pride in delivering quality outcomes. If you thrive on managing multiple projects, building positive relationships and seeing tangible results from your work, we'd love to hear from you.

As part of our commitment to being a supportive and people‑centred employer, we offer a range of benefits designed to help you thrive both in and outside of work:

  • £45,511- £48,731 per annum (pay award pending) Up to £49,758 for exceptional performance once in post

About the role and the team

You'll be joining our Housing Strategy and Development team, working collaboratively across services and particularly closely with our Housing Maintenance teams. Together, we have a strong track record of improving existing homes and delivering new housing opportunities across the New Forest.

You'll also build strong relationships with consultants, contractors, residents and other stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered successfully.

This is a varied and rewarding role where you'll manage a wide range of housing and construction projects from concept to completion. You'll take responsibility for design development, procurement, contract administration, budget management and on-site delivery.

With a blend of office, home and site-based working, no two days are the same. One day you could be developing specifications and procuring contracts, the next you'll be on site monitoring progress, working with contractors or helping to resolve technical challenges to keep projects moving forward.
