About The Role And The Team

You will be joining a forward-thinking and proactive Housing Compliance Service, working to improve compliance across all council housing, communal areas and associated assets. This is an important operational role that helps make sure our homes and buildings remain safe, well maintained and compliant with statutory requirements.

Within Housing, we work as one team, supporting each other across operational, compliance, technical and customer-facing services. You will work closely with colleagues across Housing Maintenance, contractors and other internal teams to coordinate compliance activity, resolve issues and help drive continuous service improvement.

In this role, you will help manage the day‑to‑day delivery of housing compliance work across a range of areas, including inspection, servicing, remedial works, contractor performance, record keeping and quality assurance. You will play a key part in making sure compliance activity is planned, monitored and completed effectively.

You will also support service improvement by identifying practical ways to strengthen processes, improve reporting and ensure compliance information is accurate, accessible and up to date.

By working with supervisors, operatives, contractors and colleagues across the wider Housing Service, you will help maintain safe, reliable and compliant services for our tenants.
