Job summary

BCHA is seeking a Housing Officer to manage a patch of properties in Poole, ensuring a high-quality, person-centred housing management service. You will proactively support tenants to sustain tenancies, build relationships in your patch, and help customers achieve positive outcomes.

The role focuses on maximising rental income, advising on financial inclusion, and handling tenancy matters—from sign-ups to evictions—while coordinating with partners to deter anti-social behaviour and maintain safe

Qualifications

Proactively manage a patch of BCHA properties in line with legislation, regulations and policies.
Be a visible, approachable presence to identify support needs and achieve positive outcomes.
Maximise rental income by effectively managing arrears and promoting a rent-first culture.

Responsibilities

Manage tenancy matters including sign-ups, allocations, notices, court work and evictions.
Respond to and deter anti-social behaviour using appropriate legal tools and collaborate with agencies.
Oversee voids and tenancy terminations, manage referrals and KPI targets.
Carry out regular estate inspections to maintain safe, well-managed environments.
Deliver Intensive Housing Management, assisting customers with bidding and personal housing plans.
