Southern Housing is seeking a Housing Officer to join our team in Hastings. You’ll help residents sustain tenancies, deliver practical housing advice, and support safe, well-maintained communities across our neighbourhoods.
You will manage a varied caseload, conduct property viewings, support tenancy enforcement, and work with Income Team to maximise rent collection. The role is full-time (35 hours) with hybrid working: three days in the office and travel across our communities.

As a Housing Officer, you'll play a key role in helping residents sustain successful tenancies and thrive in safe, well-maintained communities. Working at the heart of our neighbourhoods, you'll build strong relationships with residents, provide practical housing advice and support, manage a varied caseload, and work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to resolve issues and improve outcomes. From tenancy management and safeguarding to neighbourhood improvement and resident wellbeing, you'll take a proactive, customer-focused approach to delivering excellent housing services and creating communities where people are proud to live.

This is a full-time opportunity, working 35 hours per week. The successful candidate will be based at our Muriel Matters House, Hastings office. Hybrid work with the expectation of 3 days per week in the office and requirement to cover the surrounding areas to support residents and service delivery.
