Our Housing Options Service is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our Housing Officer team. This is an exciting opportunity to provide crucial support to tenants and ensure the smooth running of housing services. As a Housing Officer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality customer care while managing tenancy matters, rent collections, and supporting tenants with their housing-related needs. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing tenancy agreements and ensuring compliance with housing policies
  • Supporting tenants with a range of housing-related issues, including repairs, complaints, and tenancy queries
  • Effectively managing rent payments and arrears, and providing support to tenants in financial difficulty
  • Conducting regular property inspections and ensuring properties meet required standards
  • Providing advice and support on welfare benefits, financial management, and housing options
  • Preparing and processing legal cases when necessary, including possession proceedings
  • Navigating and maintaining accurate records on the NEC I.T system to ensure up-to-date and accurate information
