Job summary

A leading housing organization in Scotland is seeking a Housing Manager to provide face-to-face customer support in Edinburgh, Fife, and West Lothian. You will manage neighborhoods and ensure customer satisfaction by tackling issues proactively. Ideal candidates will have housing sector experience and a willingness to achieve Level 3 certification from the Chartered Institute of Housing. Qualifications

  • Experience in the housing sector and understanding of housing management, housing law, and Universal Credit.
  • Willingness to work towards Chartered Institute of Housing Level 3 certification.
  • Super-organised, methodical, proactive self-starter with a can-do attitude.
  • Resilience to handle challenging complaints.
  • Confident working with external partners & stakeholders such as local authorities, MPs, etc.
  • Able to work independently in local estates.

  • Proactively manage anti-social behaviours and respond to customer queries.
  • Manage the voids process including liaising with local authorities.
  • Carry out estate inspections and engage with contractors on site.

Salary up to £32,000 per annum depending on experience, skills and qualifications, plus great benefits including Health Cash Plan

Permanent, full time (37.5 hpw), Edinburgh, Fife and West Lothian. We can’t offer a CoS for this role.

Overview

Join us as a Housing Manager at Home Group in our awesome housing team in Edinburgh, Fife and West Lothian. You’ll be our face‑to‑face customer support to our estates, ensuring we provide safe homes and communities where people choose to live, while also ensuring our income is maximised. You’ll provide first‑class customer service, delivering our customer promise every day!

Responsibilities
  • Look after a number of patches and neighbourhoods.
  • Proactively manage anti‑social behaviours, respond to customer queries and complaints.
  • Manage the voids process including liaising with local authorities.
  • Carry out estate inspections, engage and meet with contractors on site, and record routine safety and compliance checks.

Practical bits

This is a hybrid role and in an average week you’ll spend days working from our community patches. Working hours are 9 AM to 5:30 PM Monday to Friday with flexibility. A valid driving licence and a vehicle insured for business purposes are required. Mileage will be paid. You must have a Standard DBS check (paid by the company).
