Housing Management Coordinator

Luton, Applegrove

Permanent, part time (18.75 hpw)

Pay £25,838 per annum [pro rata] and great benefits including Health Cash Plan

This is a great opportunity for a Housing Management Coordinator to join our team here in Luton. As our Housing and Property expert, you'll focus on tenancy support for our customers, ensuring their homes are safe and well maintained. Providing a housing management service, you'll support them to manage and maintain their tenancy and rent accounts.

Typical day as a Housing Management Coordinator

  • Older people service (Over 55's)
  • Ensuring our customers' properties are homes they can be proud of, supporting engagement and involvement in their tenancies.
  • Assisting customers with housing benefit claims, ensuring these are received on their rent accounts.
  • Issuing and signing warning letters and notices when needed, which may lead to attending court.
  • Preparing rooms for new customers and turning around vacant or void properties within set timescales to maximize occupancy.
  • Ensuring health and safety compliance and that maintenance standards are met.

You bring

  • Experience managing a housing management caseload and overseeing landlord duties.
  • Knowledge of re-letting rooms or units, rent collection, and formal tenancy actions.
  • Ability to lead within a team, providing guidance and support to colleagues.
  • Self-motivation and positive influence across diverse backgrounds.
  • A proactive, organized, and can-do attitude.
  • Confidence in collaborating with colleagues and external partners.

You will join Juliet and a team of eleven managing Older People's Independent Living services. We are welcoming, supportive, diverse, and passionate about our work.

  • Proficiency in technology for support plans, benefit claims, and tenancy processes
  • Must have a vehicle insured for business purposes; mileage paid
  • Enhanced DBS check required (paid for by us)
