Job Title: Housing Management & Compliance Coordinator - 12 month FTC

Reports to: Youth Services Manager
Salary: Scale 6, Points 26-28, £26,229 - £27,982 per annum, pro rata
Hours of work: Full Time (37.5 hours per week)
*Fixed Term Contract - 12 months*
Key Responsibilities:
- Enable young people to sustain their tenancy and take responsibility for their property.
- Empower young people to report repairs and maintain cleanliness of their property.
- Assist young people in maximizing and retaining their income.
- Ensure voids meet lettable standards before letting, including cleaning and repairs.
- Support young people in paying rent and service charges.
- Help young people with debt management or refer them to specialist agencies.
- Prepare weekly reports for the Manager on arrears and actions taken.
- Safeguard the welfare of young people.
- Record rent and other payments following financial procedures.
- Inform support staff of any needs or concerns for young people.
- Assist with benefit claims, including form completion and submissions.
- Arrange and conduct young people's admissions visits and inductions.
- Support young people in maintaining their accommodation standards.
- Perform administrative tasks such as recording payments, health and safety inspections, etc.
- Support initiatives to maximize income for the organization.
- Collaborate with support staff on tenancy issues and breaches.
Flexibility is required to provide out-of-hours on-call support, offering advice and emergency cover as needed.
Leading the Team:
- Contribute to developing an effective staff team.
- Participate in induction and performance management of staff, volunteers, students, and trainees.
- Provide cover for colleagues and participate in on-call duties, including working anti-social hours and weekends.
- Lead and contribute to team meetings.
- Advise management on service needs and improvements.
- Deputize for the Youth Services Manager when appropriate.
- Monitor service delivery and identify areas for improvement.
- Support colleagues with respect and professionalism.
Qualifications:
Essential:
- Housing Management qualification
- NVQ 4 Advice & Guidance, Care, or equivalent, or working towards Youth Work, Social Work, or equivalent
Role Experience:
Essential:
- Experience working with young people in settings such as Youth Work, Residential, Social Work, Probation, Community Work, Education, Training, or Housing.
Desirable:
- Experience working with volunteers or students.
