Job summary

i2i Recruitment Limited is seeking a customer-focused support officer to join a local public sector team in Cheltenham. You will manage a caseload, speak with customers to understand circumstances and progress cases with care and accuracy.

You will need strong communication skills, empathy, and excellent organisational ability, along with confidence using databases to maintain records and update systems. There is training and guidance to help you succeed.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer-focused, casework or support role.
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
• Confidence handling sensitive conversations with empathy.
• Excellent organisation and ability to manage a busy workload.
• Good IT skills and confidence using databases/systems.

Responsibilities

• Managing a caseload and delivering timely, accurate support.
• Speaking with customers to understand circumstances and agree next steps.
• Assessing needs, risks and suitability of available options.
• Keeping clear, detailed records and updating systems accurately.
• Liaising with internal teams and external partners to progress cases.
