Job summary

British Engineering Services Group is seeking an Electrical Test Engineer (Housing) to perform electrical testing in social housing sectors across the North West and Yorkshire. The role involves domestic and communal area testing, with remediations as needed, in a field-based setting.

Candidates should have an NVQ Level 3 in electrical installation and City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent, plus BS7671 18th edition by start. A valid driving licence and flexible, team-oriented mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in electrical installation work (e.g. C&G 2330, 2360, 2357, 2365).
• City & Guilds 2391 Inspection and Testing or equivalent (2394 / 2395).
• BS7671 18th edition (or willing to achieve this before starting role).

Responsibilities

• To work individually or as part of a team undertaking high quality electrical repairs testing and/or remedial works as required.
• To comply with BS7671 standards and company standards of work performance, ensuring implementation and compliance within electrical policies and procedures.
• Ensure implementation and compliance with company Health and Safety policies and procedures.
• Utilise both our CRM system and reporting software to accurately record electrical documentation.
• You will be expected to carry out electrical condition reporting, repairs and installations to the highest of standards.
• Liaise with tenants, customers and members of our supply chain.
• Maintain van stocks and provide information enabling the improvements of first time fixes for the area you work within.
