Job summary

NRT Group is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to service social housing properties across York and surrounding areas. The role offers stability, progression, and strong earning potential with ongoing training and support.

You will undertake repairs, tests, and EICRs, work to BS 7671 standards, and maintain excellent tenant service while keeping thorough documentation. A driving licence is essential and the package includes a company van, healthcare, and generous holiday.

Qualifications

• Level 2 / Level 3 Electrical Engineering qualification (essential).
• AM2 qualification (essential).
• Experience in social housing, domestic electrical repairs, maintenance or EICR testing (preferred).
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong understanding of electrical safety and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical repairs, installations, maintenance and testing within social housing properties.
• Complete EICRs, remedial works, fault finding and upgrades.
• Work in compliance with BS 7671 and all electrical safety standards.
• Deliver a high-quality, customer-focused service to tenants.
• Maintain accurate job records and documentation.
• Ensure safe working practices across all tasks.
