(INTERNAL ONLY) Housing Development Officer – 1 Year Fixed-Term – 15 hrs 2 days a week

As we continue to grow, Tai Tarian is looking for a self-motivated, Housing Development Officer who will be responsible for implementing the end-end process in acquiring Welsh Government TACP (Transitional Accommodation Capital Programme) funded properties.

The role is a 1 year fixed-term contract covering maternity cover for 12 months with a salary of £33,879a year, rising to £37,548 (pro rata)after key competencies of the role are met.

Criteria for Role:

To be successful in the role of,Housing Development Officer be educated to level 4 or have knowledge in the field of property acquisitions and meeting housing need through Affordable Housing, or relevant transferable skills.

About the role

The role ofHousing Development Officer is a pivotal role as you source and review property acquisition opportunities from open market adverts and direct contact leads to liaising with solicitors, conveyancers, valuers,surveyorsand other relevant professionals in connection with all property acquisition matters. The role will also be responsible for utilising data to be able to advise on the type, size, location, features, and management considerations of future housing developments so that timely and cost-effective decisions can be made by the Development and Housing Teams.
