Job description

Trust Housing Association has exciting opportunities for two Care & Support Workers to join our team at St Margarets Court, Greenock, Inverclyde PA16 7AL. These are excellent job opportunities for those who live in and around Inverclyde.

Role Overview

As a Care & Support Worker, you'll play a vital role in supporting older and vulnerable adults in their own homes. Operating between 7.00am and 10.00pm seven days a week, you'll provide assistance with daily living tasks based on individual care plans. Whether it's administering medication, personal support, or helping with meals, your empathetic approach will make a real difference to our tenants' lives. You’ll have the time to get to know our residents and are trusted to give each person the care and support they need, in the way they like.

What We Offer
  1. Hourly Rate: £13.00 per hour
  2. Availability: Flexible shifts (morning and back shifts) including alternate weekends
  3. Guaranteed Hours: Two roles (1 x 18.75 hours, 1 x 20 hours per week) with hours averaged over 4 days on a rolling 2-week rota basis, including a mixture of weekdays and weekends, day and back shifts
  4. Job Type: Permanent Contract

Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate:

  1. Has experience in the care sector and working with older people or other vulnerable members of a community, understanding their needs and how to meet them.
  2. Holds an SVQ in Health and Social Care or a relevant qualification.
  3. Demonstrates good written and verbal communication skills.
  4. Possesses basic IT skills.
  5. Previous experience is preferred but not essential; we provide comprehensive training and support. What matters most is your passion, empathy, and dedication to helping our tenants live their lives to the fullest.
