Job summary

Middlesbrough Council is seeking a proactive Housing Adaptions Support and Technical Officer to help plan and manage major and minor repairs and adaptations, enabling vulnerable residents to live independently.

You will work with clients, contractors and Occupational Therapy teams, assess needs, develop schemes of work and oversee projects through to completion. Starting salary grades G or I, with flexible working and LGPS benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in the construction industry and a sound understanding of property repairs, renovation projects and housing adaptations.
• Ability to deliver a high-quality service within a busy environment, meeting deadlines and managing a varied workload.
• Demonstrate how you meet the criteria outlined in the Person Specification.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with clients to deliver repairs and adaptations to homes.
• Assess client needs, develop schemes of work and oversee projects through to completion.
• Liaise with Occupational Therapy teams and other professionals to reflect Council values in service delivery.
