Job summary

London Borough of Haringey is seeking an Adaptations Surveyor to deliver a responsive disabled adaptations service. You will assess buildings, plan works, and monitor delivery to time and budget while keeping customers at the centre of service excellence.

You will prepare schemes, inspections, and CAD drawings, coordinating with OT recommendations and statutory requirements to ensure high quality outcomes and continuous improvement within a borough-based site visits framework.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical schedules to customers.
• Proven experience delivering adaptations projects to time and quality.
• Ability to plan and deliver building works for disabled occupants with multiple workstreams.

Responsibilities

• Advise service users and colleagues on adaptations schemes and prepare scheme designs.
• Manage and monitor adaptations projects to ensure delivery on schedule.
• Assess conditions of existing buildings and identify defects affecting adaptations.
• Prepare documentation for Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG) applications.
• Carry out pre- and post-works inspections to ensure contract standards.
• Produce schedules of works, specifications, and AutoCAD drawings for contractors.
• Coordinate with service users, authorities, and contractors to resolve queries.
