Job summary

East Kent Colleges Group is seeking a Housekeeping Team Leader to head our housekeeping team at Canterbury College, ensuring high-quality, welcoming spaces where students can thrive. You will motivate and manage a team of cleaners and oversee daily tasks and use of industry machinery.

This part-time role is 15 hours per week, 05:30 to 08:30, Monday to Friday, with a salary of £11,598 per annum. We value staff wellbeing, with generous benefits and a commitment to safeguarding and inclusion.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience of team leadership and cleaning in a commercial environment.
  • Level 2 qualification in English & Maths or willingness to work towards.
  • Health & safety certificate would be of benefit but training is provided.

  • Oversee daily cleaning tasks and use of industry machinery.

About The Role

We are looking for a Team Leader to lead our Housekeeping team and ensure high-quality, welcoming spaces where students can thrive.

As a Housekeeping Team leader, to join the Group. You will join our high performing housekeeping team within the busy Estates Department at Canterbury College.

You will have a positive attitude, with the ability to motivate and lead a team of housekeepers while maintaining high levels of cleanliness & hygiene. You will also be able to perform the array of cleaning tasks including the use of machinery widely used in the industry.

Role details:

This position is 15 hours per week working 05:30 to 08:30 across Monday to Friday, with a salary of £11,598 per annum.

About You

Ideally you will have previous experience of team leadership and cleaning in a commercial environment as well as the ability to learn quickly and maintain high standards of work.

You will also have a Level 2 qualification in English & Maths or be willing to work towards these (the College will support with such qualifications)

A health & safety certificate would be of benefit but not essential as training is provided.
