Responsibilities

• Assist in ensuring the department runs smoothly in the absence of the Head Housekeeper.
• Check vacant bedrooms to the required standard before releasing them to reception.
• Conduct daily spot checks on serviced rooms to ensure standards are maintained.
• Train new room attendants on cleaning and servicing standards.
• Compile work lists and rotas for room attendants when needed.
• Attend training sessions as required.
• Report any maintenance issues in rooms.
• Perform cleaning and servicing of bedrooms periodically.
• Ensure uniform standards are maintained at all times.
• Handle guest requests such as robes, extra beds, cots, fridge, kettle, iron, ironing board, tea/coffee trays, fan, and other in-room items.
• Inspect bedspreads, curtains, and soft furnishings for repairs or stains and address accordingly.
• Check carpets for repairs and stains, liaising with the Head Housekeeper.
