Job summary

Strand Palace in central London is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Supervisor who ensures every room meets the highest standards of cleanliness. You will lead a large team, provide training and feedback, and oversee VIP room preparation and weekly stock counts.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in hospitality and housekeeping environments.
• Experience leading large and diverse teams with hands-on supervision.
• Commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences and high cleanliness standards.
• Proactive, reliable and able to drive service improvements.

Responsibilities

• Check rooms after cleaning and ensure standards before release.
• Provide feedback and training to room attendants on cleanliness and timing.
• Attend departmental meetings and support clear communication on performance goals.
• Conduct weekly stock counts on the floors and help with inventory.
• Oversee room preparation for VIP guests and site inspections.
• Support in delivering departmental trainings and ensure standards are followed daily.

Key Responsibilities

• Check rooms after cleaning, rectifying any areas not in line with standards before releasing the room
• Provide regular feedback and training to the room attendants about room cleanliness to help them achieve the required standards in the required timeframe
• Attend departmental meetings and assist in ensuring a clear and consistent communication regarding team performance and goals
• Execute a weekly stock count on the floors
• Oversees room preparation for VIP guests and site inspections.
• Assist in delivery of departmental trainings. Ensure team understands the training and monitor if standards are followed on a daily basis

• Proven experience in hospitality
• Strong organisational skills, with experience managing large and diverse teams
• Approachable, hands-on, and passionate about guest experience and team development
• Drive to go above and beyond, in exceeding guest expectations and finding ways to continually improve service.
