Skycare in the West Midlands is seeking a reliable Housekeeping Assistant to join a welcoming care home in Wednesfield, Wolverhampton, WV11. The role is full-time, permanent, with competitive hourly pay.

Location: Wednesfield, WV11. Pay: £12.71 per hour, 30–40 hours per week. You will maintain high cleanliness standards, assist with infection control and ensure a safe, comfortable environment for residents and staff.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping, cleaning, hospitality, hotel, care home, or domestic cleaning experience preferred.
• Good attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Positive attitude, reliability, and strong work ethic.
• Understanding of hygiene and infection control standards.
• Must have the legal right to work in the UK; visa sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning residents' bedrooms, bathrooms, lounges, dining areas, and communal spaces.
• Maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the home.
• Following infection prevention and health & safety procedures.
• Replenishing cleaning supplies and reporting maintenance issues when required.
• Supporting a comfortable, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and staff.
• Working closely with the wider care home team to ensure outstanding standards are maintained.

Permanent Position

• Cleaning residents' bedrooms, bathrooms, lounges, dining areas, and communal spaces
• Maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the home
• Following infection prevention and health & safety procedures

• Supporting a comfortable, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and staff

Requirements:

• Previous housekeeping, cleaning, hospitality, hotel, care home, or domestic cleaning experience preferred

• Ability to provide references covering previous employment
• Must have the legal right to work in the UK

• Enhanced DBS may be required as part of the recruitment process
