Job summary

Kiwi House Care Home, part of Care Concern Group, Derby, is seeking a Housekeeping Assistant to maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment and to support laundry services. The role requires attention to detail and a compassionate approach to residents’ comfort and dignity.

You will clean residents’ rooms, bathrooms and communal areas and assist with laundry, ensuring items are labelled and handled with care.

Qualifications

• Positive and reliable approach
• Excellent attention to detail and organisation
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team when needed
• Understanding of hygiene and infection control is beneficial

Responsibilities

• Clean residents' rooms, bathrooms and communal areas to a high standard of hygiene and presentation
• Assist with laundry duties including washing, drying, ironing and sorting clothes
• Follow infection control, health and safety and housekeeping procedures
• Support residents with maintaining a clean, welcoming environment
