Job summary

Dingle Meadow Care Home in Oldbury is seeking a Housekeeping Assistant to maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment and to support laundry services. This hands-on role focuses on high standards of hygiene, dignity and resident comfort.

You will clean residents' rooms, bathrooms and communal areas, assist with laundry, follow infection control procedures, and work with the team to keep the home well presented and comfortable for residents.

Qualifications

• Positive and reliable approach
• Good attention to detail and organisation
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication skills
• Understanding of hygiene and infection control is beneficial
• Previous experience is welcomed but not essential

Responsibilities

• Clean residents' rooms, bathrooms and communal areas to a high standard of hygiene and presentation
• Support laundry duties including washing, drying, ironing and returning clothing correctly
• Follow infection control, health and safety and housekeeping procedures
• Contribute to a well organised and comfortable environment where residents feel respected and supported
