Job summary

Alexander House Care Home in Exeter is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Assistant to maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for residents across Nursing, Residential, Dementia and Respite care.

You will clean rooms, bathrooms and communal areas, assist with laundry and follow hygiene, infection control and safety procedures to support daily wellbeing and comfort for residents.

Qualifications

• Positive and reliable approach.
• Good attention to detail and organisation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Understanding of hygiene and infection control beneficial.
• Previous experience is welcomed but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Clean residents' rooms, bathrooms and communal areas to a high standard of hygiene and presentation.
• Support laundry duties including washing, drying, ironing and returning clothing, ensuring items are labelled and handled with care.
• Follow infection control, health and safety and housekeeping procedures.
• Work closely with the wider team to maintain a well organised and comfortable environment for residents.
• Work alternate weekends as required by the role.
