Job summary

The Old Vicarage Care Home in Clay Cross, Chesterfield is seeking a Housekeeping Assistant on a zero-hour contract. You will maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment and assist with laundry services, contributing to residents’ comfort and daily wellbeing.

Role requires attention to detail, reliability and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Previous experience is welcome but not essential.

• Understanding of hygiene and infection control is beneficial

Responsibilities

• Clean residents' rooms, bathrooms and communal areas to a high standard of hygiene and presentation
• Support laundry duties including washing, drying, ironing and returning clothing with clear labelling
• Follow infection control, health and safety and housekeeping procedures to work safely and efficiently
• Contribute to a well organised, comfortable environment where residents feel respected and supported
