Job summary

Vane Hill Care Home in Torquay is seeking a Housekeeping Assistant to maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for residents with complex health needs. You will also support laundry services and ensure items are clearly labelled and handled with care.

Role requires attention to detail and a reliable approach; previous experience is welcomed but not essential. The position is part-time, with hours per week aligned to service needs.

Qualifications

• Understanding of hygiene, infection control and safe working practices is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Clean residents’ rooms, bathrooms and communal areas to a high standard of hygiene and presentation.
• Support laundry duties including washing, drying, ironing and returning clothing clearly labelled.
• Follow infection control, health and safety and housekeeping procedures to carry out tasks safely.
• Contribute to a well organised, hygienic and welcoming environment for residents.
