Village Hotels is opening a brand-new Village Hotel Sheffield and seeks an Assistant Housekeeping Manager who leads from the floor, sets the absolute standard from day zero, and drives a right-first-time culture. Interviews begin soon, with a January start to prepare the department before the first guest checks in.

You will own the floor, drive commercial hustle, and coach a new team to deliver immaculate spaces and exceptional service in a fast-paced opening environment.

Assistant Housekeeping Manager: Brand New Opening (Village Hotel Sheffield) 37.5hrs pw

There is nothing quite like the buzz of opening a brand new hotel. Everything is immaculate, fresh, and completely untouched. We are opening Village Hotel Sheffield, and we need a phenomenal Assistant Housekeeping Manager who loves being on the floor and leading from the front to set the absolute standard from day zero.

Just to be crystal clear on timelines: we are moving fast. Interviews are happening week commencing 16th November. You will officially start with us in January, well before the doors open, giving you the time to get the department commercially ready alongside the Housekeeping Manager before the first guest checks in.

Your Remit: How You Will Run It

• First: Own the Floor. You are the pace setter. You will be out in the corridors and rooms, conducting rigorous inspections, monitoring standards in real time, and driving a 'right first time' culture. If there is a gap during peak service, you roll your sleeves up and get it done alongside the team.
• Second: The Commercial Hustle. You will actively monitor productivity and minutes per room. You will control the linen usage, manage stock pars, and ensure we hit our payroll benchmarks without ever compromising on absolute quality.
• Third: Coaching in the Moment. You are helping to build a new team from scratch. You will provide hands on coaching, immediate feedback, and active support to your Team Leaders and Room Attendants so everyone knows exactly what a top tier Village standard looks like.
