Position: Housekeeper at Richmond Villages Letcombe Regis, South Street, Oxfordshire, OX12 9RG

Salary: £12.40 per hour - Paid breaks and excellent Bupa benefits

Contract Type: Bank Contract - Flexible hours, only picking up shifts that suit your availability

Our housekeeper is the unsung hero of our award-winning retirement village. With a flair for perfection and a sprinkle of care, they keep our community sparkling and residents beaming with pride.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Ensuring that our residents’ care home facilities, public areas, and individual properties are maintained to the highest cleaning standards.
2. Operating vacuum cleaners, floor polishers, and carpet shampooers.
3. Emptying bins regularly.
4. Sweeping, scrubbing, waxing, and polishing floors.
5. Cleaning carpets and upholstery and washing woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills.
6. Washing, drying, and ironing residents' clothing, bedding, and communal laundry, including for our on-site care home residents.
7. Reporting all safety hazards to management, ensuring Health and Safety standards and COSHH are adhered to at all times.

Qualifications and Skills:

Ideally, you will have experience in housekeeping or domestic cleaning roles, with a basic understanding of infection control, COSHH, and compliance standards. You should be friendly, approachable, and capable of building professional relationships with colleagues, residents, and their families. Attention to detail, pride in your work, and strong communication skills are essential, along with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
