Thornbury Castle seeks a Housekeeping Assistant to join its professional team within a historic Tudor castle hotel. You will contribute to pristine communal areas and guest rooms, with training provided and a supportive environment.

The role is 20 hours per week, typically 11am–2:30pm, across 5 days including weekends. £12.71 per hour is offered, with the chance to earn additional service charge shares and enjoy benefits such as holiday entitlement and a birthday day off.

• Cleaning rooms can be physically demanding but you will receive full training and be surrounded by a supportive team

Responsibilities

• Cleaning hotel communal areas to a high standard including vacuuming, polishing and dusting
• Cleaning bedrooms and bathrooms to a high standard including linen and towels refresh
• Restocking guest room supplies including linen, amenities and collaterals
• Engaging with guests when required
• Reporting maintenance issues to Housekeeping manager

Job Description

• £12.71 per hour
• 20 hours per week - 11am - 2:30pm. 5 days a week, including weekend work
• Ensuring all hotel communal areas are cleaned and tidied to a high standard, including vacuuming, polishing and dusting
• Ensuring bedrooms and bathrooms are cleaned to a high standard, including refreshing linen and towels, vacuuming and polishing
• Restocking guest room supplies, including linen, amenities and collaterals
• Engaging with guests where required
• Reporting any maintenance issues to Housekeeping manager
