Relais & Chateau Thornbury Castle is seeking a Housekeeping Assistant to join a dedicated housekeeping team at the castle. You will help create memorable 5* experiences for guests in a historic setting.

The role offers part-time hours (20 per week) with a shift from 11am to 2:30pm, and weekend work. The position includes full training, opportunities for professional development, and a range of staff benefits such as service charge sharing, paid holidays, and hotel staff discounts.

Responsibilities

• Clean communal areas to a high standard (vacuuming, polishing, dusting).
• Clean bedrooms and bathrooms; refresh linen and towels.
• Restock guest room supplies (linen, amenities, collaterals).
• Engage with guests as required.
• Report maintenance issues to Housekeeping manager.

Set on 15 acres of beautiful land, Thornbury Castle Hotel is the only Tudor Castle operating as a hotel in England. The Castle has recently undergone a multi-million pound refurbishment program, bringing back to life the regal grandeur of its past. Job Description

• £12.71 per hour
• 20 hours per week - 11am - 2:30pm. 5 days a week, including weekend work
• Ensuring all hotel communal areas are cleaned and tidied to a high standard, including vacuuming, polishing and dusting
• Ensuring bedrooms and bathrooms are cleaned to a high standard, including refreshing linen and towels, vacuuming and polishing
• Restocking guest room supplies, including linen, amenities and collaterals
• Engaging with guests where required
• Reporting any maintenance issues to Housekeeping manager

Qualifications

• Cleaning rooms can be very physically demanding but you will receive full training and be surrounded by a supportive team
