Job summary

Champneys Mottram Hall is seeking a Housekeeping Assistant on a zero-hour contract. You will service guest bedrooms and bathrooms to luxury standards, ensuring calm, inviting spaces for guests from the moment they arrive.

You’ll also keep corridors tidy, stock trolleys, and report any issues to the Housekeeping Supervisor. You will work quietly and discreetly in guest areas, respond to guest requests professionally, and support broader housekeeping and laundry duties as needed.

• Servicing guest bedrooms and bathrooms to Champneys standards.
• Preparing rooms to feel calm and inviting for guests.
• Maintaining tidy corridors and guest areas with discretion.
• Keeping trolleys and stock rooms well organised and stocked.
• Reporting maintenance issues to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
• Working quietly and respectfully around guests to ensure rest.
• Responding to guest requests professionally and per procedures.
• Assisting with wider housekeeping and laundry duties as needed.
• Attending team meetings and ongoing training to raise standards.
• Following health, safety and COSHH guidelines at all times.

Your Role Will Include

• Servicing guest bedrooms and bathrooms to exceptional Champneys standards, ensuring cleanliness, presentation and comfort


• Preparing rooms so they feel calm, inviting and ready for guests to relax from the moment they arrive


• Maintaining tidy corridors and working areas, ensuring guest privacy and discretion at all times


• Keeping housekeeping trolleys and stock rooms well organised and fully stocked


• Reporting maintenance issues, damage or stock shortages promptly to the Housekeeping Supervisor


• Working respectfully and quietly within guest accommodation, recognising that guests are here to rest and unwind


• Responding politely and professionally to guest requests in line with company procedures


• Supporting wider housekeeping and laundry duties when required


• Attending team meetings and training, with a willingness to continually improve standards and skills


• Health, safety and professionalism:


• Following all health, safety and fire procedures at all times


• Using cleaning products and equipment responsibly and in line with COSHH guidance


• Maintaining high standards of personal presentation, punctuality and conduct


• Working with discretion and confidentiality in all guest areas
