Job summary

Longbridge Deverill Nursing Home, part of Care Concern Group, is hiring a Housekeeping Assistant in Warminster. You will clean rooms, bathrooms and communal areas, support laundry services, and help maintain a hygienic, welcoming environment for residents.

The role requires attention to detail, reliability, good communication and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Alternate weekends are required.

Job description

Our purpose-built care home offers outstanding Residential, Dementia, Nursing, and Respite care for the elderly, accommodating up to 60 residents in a comfortable and supportive environment designed to enhance their quality of life.

Housekeeping Assistant Contract

• £12.71 per hour
• Contracted to 35 hours per week
• Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Housekeeping Assistant, you will play a key role in maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment while also supporting laundry services. This is a varied, hands on role where your attention to detail and high standards will directly impact comfort, dignity and daily wellbeing.

You will be responsible for cleaning residents’ rooms, bathrooms and communal areas, ensuring all spaces are maintained to a high standard of hygiene and presentation. Alongside this, you will support laundry duties including washing, drying, ironing and returning clothing correctly, ensuring all items are clearly labelled and handled with care.

Working closely with the wider team, you will follow infection control, health and safety and housekeeping procedures, ensuring all tasks are carried out safely and efficiently. Your role will contribute to a well organised and comfortable environment where individuals feel respected and supported.

The successful candidate will be required to work alternate weekends.
