Floryn House Care Home in Yarnton, Oxfordshire, is hiring a Housekeeping Assistant. The role is based on site, 37.5 hours per week, at £12.71 per hour, with paid DBS, pension and uniform provided.

You will maintain a clean, safe, welcoming environment and assist with laundry services to support residents’ comfort and wellbeing. You will work alternate weekends and be part of a team dedicated to high hygiene standards and compassionate care within the Care Concern Group, a family-owned provider

• Clean residents' rooms, bathrooms and communal areas to a high standard of hygiene and presentation.
• Support laundry duties: washing, drying, ironing and returning clothing with clear labelling.
• Follow infection control, health and safety and housekeeping procedures.
• Work alternate weekends as required by the role.

Our brand new, purpose-built facility situated in the beautiful village of Yarnton, Oxfordshire, provides exemplary Residential, Dementia, Nursing & Respite care for 73-residents.

Housekeeping Assistant Contract

• £12.71 per hour
• Contracted to 37.5 hours per week
• Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Housekeeping Assistant, you will play a key role in maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment while also supporting laundry services. This is a varied, hands on role where your attention to detail and high standards will directly impact comfort, dignity and daily wellbeing.

You will be responsible for cleaning residents’ rooms, bathrooms and communal areas, ensuring all spaces are maintained to a high standard of hygiene and presentation. Alongside this, you will support laundry duties including washing, drying, ironing and returning clothing correctly, ensuring all items are clearly labelled and handled with care.

Working closely with the wider team, you will follow infection control, health and safety and housekeeping procedures, ensuring all tasks are carried out safely and efficiently. Your role will contribute to a well organised and comfortable environment where individuals feel respected and supported.

The successful candidate will be required to work alternate weekends.
