Job summary

Kingfisher House Care Home in Perth is seeking a Housekeeping Assistant to maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment, including laundry duties. You will work as part of a compassionate team, ensuring rooms, bathrooms and communal areas meet high hygiene and presentation standards.

The role offers full-time and part-time hours at £12.71 per hour, with PVG paid, pension, uniform provided and 5.6 weeks' annual leave.

Kingfisher House Care Home is a purpose built 77 bed care home located in Perth, set in a stunning riverside location on the banks of the River Tay. Providing Residential, Nursing, Dementia and Respite care, the home offers a modern and well supported environment where team members can develop their skills, work as part of a strong team and make a meaningful difference every day.

Housekeeping Assistant Contract

• £12.71 per hour
• Full Time & Part Time Available
• Paid PVG, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Housekeeping Assistant, you will play a key role in maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment while also supporting laundry services. This is a varied, hands on role where your attention to detail and high standards will directly impact comfort, dignity and daily wellbeing.

You will be responsible for cleaning residents' rooms, bathrooms and communal areas, ensuring all spaces are maintained to a high standard of hygiene and presentation. Alongside this, you will support laundry duties including washing, drying, ironing and returning clothing correctly, ensuring all items are clearly labelled and handled with care.

Working closely with the wider team, you will follow infection control, health and safety and housekeeping procedures, ensuring all tasks are carried out safely and efficiently.

Your role will contribute to a well organised and comfortable environment where individuals feel respected and supported.
