Job summary

Meallmore's Manor Care Centre in Nairn is seeking a Housekeeping Assistant to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness in public areas and bedrooms. You will also handle the wash, dry, iron and storage of laundry, supporting a warm, welcoming environment for residents and visitors.

You will ideally have experience in housekeeping or domestic cleaning, with a basic understanding of infection control, COSHH, and compliance standards, with full training provided if needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping or domestic cleaning.
• Basic understanding of infection control, COSHH and compliance standards.
• Full training will be provided if the role is new to you.

Responsibilities

• Maintain highest cleaning standards in residents’ facilities, public areas and bedrooms.
• Handle wash, dry, iron and put away laundry for residents and home.
• Replenish supplies in resident rooms and common areas.
• Communicate effectively with residents and colleagues.

For you, as a Housekeeping Assistantthe role involvesbeing responsible formaintainingthe highest levels of cleanliness in public areasand bedroomswithin the home, you will alsobe responsible forthe wash, dry, iron and put away of laundry.The variety of housekeeping and cleaning tasks you carry out will ensure everyone can enjoy a clean,tidyand welcoming environment. This meansyou’llhave a direct impact on our residents, their visitors and all thecolleaguesworking to support them.

Salary

£12.76per hour +Competitive benefits + overtime rates

Your Role and Responsibilities

• Ensuring that our residents' care home facilities, public areas androomsaremaintainedto the highest cleaning standards.
• You will ideally bring experience from a housekeeping or domestic cleaning role, along with a basic understanding of infection control, COSHH, and compliance standards, however full training will be provided if this role is new to you.
• Replenish andmaintainsupplies in both resident rooms andcommon areas.
• Communicate effectively with residents andcolleaguesto address needs and concerns.
