Job summary

Meallmore Ltd is seeking a Housekeeping Assistant for Redwoods Care Home in Alness, near Inverness. You will help maintain the highest cleaning standards in public areas and bedrooms, ensuring a clean, welcoming environment for residents and visitors.

Bank-contract hours offer steady shifts; you may have prior housekeeping experience, plus a basic understanding of infection control and COSHH. You’ll work with colleagues to keep our care home spotless and well-organised.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping or domestic cleaning is preferred.
• Basic understanding of infection control, COSHH and compliance standards.

For you, as a Housekeeping Assistantthe role involvesbeing responsible formaintainingthe highest levels of cleanliness in public areasand bedroomswithin the home, you will alsobe responsible forthe wash, dry, iron and put away of laundry.The variety of housekeeping and cleaning tasks you carry out will ensure everyone can enjoy a clean,tidyand welcoming environment. This meansyou’llhave a direct impact on our residents, their visitors and all thecolleaguesworking to support them.

Your Role and Responsibilities

• Ensuring that our residents' care home facilities, public areas androomsaremaintainedto the highest cleaning standards.
• You will ideally bring experience from a housekeeping or domestic cleaning role, along with a basic understanding of infection control, COSHH, and compliance standards, however full training will be provided if this role is new to you.
• Replenish andmaintainsupplies in both resident rooms andcommon areas.
• Communicate effectively with residents andcolleaguesto address needs and concerns.
