Job summary

Avery Healthcare in Marlow is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Housekeeping Assistant to join the award-winning Cliveden Manor Care Home team. You will work with colleagues to maintain cleanliness and laundry standards across the home, delivering hotel-level service.

The role requires Health & Safety knowledge, Moving and Handling, COSHH, plus compassion and flexibility to cover varied duties in a caring environment.

Qualifications

• Health and Safety knowledge (Moving and Handling, Fire Safety, COSHH)
• Experience cleaning laundry in a public setting

Responsibilities

• Carrying out all cleaning duties in accordance with worksheet instructions.
• Understanding cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings and the properties of cleaning materials, ensuring areas are well presented.
• Ensuring residents are treated with dignity and that their personal space and belongings are respected.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus as Housekeeping Assistant will be to work as part of a team, ensuring that all standards of cleanliness and laundry are maintained in the home. You will operate according to our standard operating procedures for housekeeping and laundry, ensuring that hotel service standards are maintained.

Other responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out all cleaning duties in accordance with worksheet instructions.
• Understanding the cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings and the properties of cleaning materials, ensuring that all areas are well presented and maintained in good condition.
• Ensuring that all residents are treated with dignity and respect and that their personal space and belongings are always respected.
