Job summary

At Avery Healthcare, Milton Court Care Home in Milton Keynes is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Housekeeping Assistant to join a close-knit team and help maintain high cleanliness and laundry standards across the home.

You will work as part of a team, following standard operating procedures to ensure hotel-style service standards and resident comfort. DBS disclosure and UK work eligibility are required, with opportunities for personal development within a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Health and Safety, particularly Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety and COSHH assessments.
• Experience of cleaning laundry in a public setting.
• Demonstrate compassion and commitment to high-quality housekeeping/laundry service for residents.
• Ability to be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

• Carry out all cleaning duties in accordance with worksheet instructions.
• Understand cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings and maintain areas in good condition.
• Ensure residents are treated with dignity and respect and their personal space is respected.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus asHousekeepingAssistant will be to work as part of a team, ensuring that all standards of cleanliness and laundry aremaintainedin the home. You willoperateaccording to our standard operating procedures for housekeeping and laundry, ensuring that hotel service standards aremaintained.

Other responsibilitieswillinclude:

• Carrying out all cleaning dutiesin accordance withworksheetinstructions.
• Understandingthe cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings and the properties of cleaning materials, ensuring that all areas are well presented and maintained in good condition.
• Ensuring that all residents are treated with dignity and respect and that their personal space and belongings are always respected.
