Job summary

Avery Healthcare in Marlow is seeking a Housekeeping Assistant (Bank) to join our award-winning team at Cliveden Manor Care Home. You will help maintain cleanliness and laundry standards across the home, following our SOPs and hotel-style service expectations.

The role emphasizes compassion and respect for residents, with a flexible bank schedule to cover shifts as needed. DBS checks and eligibility to work in the UK are required as part of joining Avery.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Health and Safety, moving and handling techniques, Fire Safety and COSHH assessments.
• Experience cleaning laundry in a public setting.
• Demonstrates compassion and commitment to high-quality housekeeping/laundry service for residents.
• Able to be adaptable and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team to maintain cleanliness and laundry standards in the home.
• Follow standard operating procedures for housekeeping and laundry to meet hotel service standards.
• Carry out cleaning duties as instructed by worksheets and maintain surfaces to high presentation.
• Ensure residents are treated with dignity and respect and their personal space is respected.

About The Role

Your focus as Housekeeping Assistant will be to work as part of a team, ensuring that all standards of cleanliness and laundry are maintained in the home. You will operate according to our standard operating procedures for housekeeping and laundry, ensuring that hotel service standards are maintained.

Other Responsibilities Will Include

• Carrying out all cleaning duties in accordance with worksheet instructions.
• Understanding the cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings and the properties of cleaning materials, ensuring that all areas are well presented and maintained in good condition.
• Ensuring that all residents are treated with dignity and respect and that their personal space and belongings are always respected.
