Job summary

Vanilla Recruitment is looking for a Housekeeping Assistant for a well-established educational organisation in Market Harborough. This temporary role is available immediately or within one week and may develop into a permanent opportunity, with varying hours including Saturdays.

You will help maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety and presentation across accommodation and learning spaces, following health and safety procedures and reporting any issues as required. DBS check is required.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is desirable but not essential.
• Reliable and responsible approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Clean bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, classrooms, corridors and communal areas to a high standard.
• Make beds as required.
• Carrying out routine housekeeping tasks including vacuuming, mopping, dusting and surface cleaning.
• Emptying bins, removing waste and maintaining tidy communal spaces.
• Replenishing housekeeping supplies and reporting stock requirements when necessary.
• Reporting maintenance issues, damage, hazards or concerns that require attention.
• Following health and safety procedures, including the safe use and storage of cleaning products and equipment.

Due to urgent business requirements, applicants must be available immediately or within one week’s notice. Please note that this will initially be a temporary role, which has the potential to develop into a permanent opportunity.

• £12.71 per hour
• Temp to permopportunity
• Open to both full-time and part-time applications
• Various working hours available
• Saturday working required
• Subject to an enhanced DBS check
