No.1 York by GuestHouse is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper for a part-time role (20 hours per week) in our stylish boutique hotel in York. You will help create a warm, homely atmosphere for guests and ensure rooms are prepared to a high standard between stays.

Now recruiting for a Housekeeper at No.1 York by GuestHouse.

Do you believe a well-made bed is a thing of beauty? Can you turn a room around faster than a York ghost tour guide on a tight schedule? If so, we’d love to welcome you to our housekeeping dream team.

Here at No. 1 York by GuestHouse, we’re a small but stylish, family-run boutique hotel, and we’re looking for a Housekeeper who’s equal parts perfectionist, team player, and behind-the-scenes superstar.
Please note this is a part time role of 20 hours per week (approx. 3 shifts).

What you’ll be doing:

• Making beds so crisp they could star in a period drama.
• Keeping guest rooms and public areas spotless, serene, and Instagram-ready.
• Replenishing amenities with flair and precision.
• Reporting maintenance issues before they become mysteries.
• Working closely with the front desk and housekeeping team to ensure every guest feels like royalty.

What we’re looking for:

• Previous housekeeping experience (but a great attitude goes a long way).
• An eye for detail and a love for order.
• Someone who takes pride in their work and isn’t afraid of a little elbow grease.
• A sense of humour and a love for York’s rich history and quirky cham.
• Reliability, discretion, and a dash of sparkle.
