Do you know your way around a cocktail shaker better than most know their way around The Shambles? Can you mix a martini with precision, pour a pinot with pride, and serve every guest like they’ve just stepped out of a Viking saga or a cathedral tour?

Here at No.1 York by GuestHouse, we’re a small but stylish, family-run boutique hotel, and we’re looking for a Bartender who can bring energy, elegance, and excellent service to our bar team. This is a full time role working 40 hours, 5 days out of 7.

What you’ll be doing:

• Mixing, pouring, and serving drinks with confidence and creativity
• Creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere for guests — whether they’re locals, tourists, or time-travelling Tudors
• Keeping the bar stocked, spotless, and running like clockwork
• Recommending drinks, sharing stories, and occasionally dazzling with your cocktail knowledge
• Supporting the Pearly Cow Restaurant Floor team during busy shifts

• Experienced behind the bar and confident in a fast-paced environment
• Passionate about great drinks and even better service
• Calm under pressure, quick on your feet, and always guest-focused
